Abstract
This article examines the significant transformations in the legal systems of European countries under the influence of globalization. It focuses on key areas such as legal harmonization within the European Union, environmental law, human rights protection, and compliance with international trade agreements. By analyzing specific legal reforms in Germany, France, and other EU member states, the article explores how these countries balance national interests with international obligations. Among the many changes, the study identifies five major trends: (i) the advancement of legal harmonization, (ii) the strengthening of human rights frameworks, (iii) the alignment of climate and trade standards, (iv) policy responses to migration, and (v) the enhancement of legal technologies. The findings suggest that while globalization poses challenges—such as conflicts between domestic priorities and international demands—it also provides opportunities for deepened international cooperation and the evolution of more adaptive legal systems capable of addressing global issues.
